Your Comfort, Our Priority
At Luf Dental, we strive to make your visit as smooth and stress-free as possible. To ensure the best care, please take a few moments to prepare for your appointment. While we do our best to minimize wait times, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and get settled.
Preparing for Your Dental Appointment
To ensure a smooth and effective visit, there are a few things you should do before arriving at Luf Dental. Proper preparation can help us provide the best possible care while ensuring your safety and comfort throughout your treatment.
Medications & Health Considerations
If you are taking any prescription medications, including blood thinners, antibiotics, or medications for chronic conditions, please inform us in advance. Certain medications may need to be adjusted before specific dental procedures. If you have diabetes, heart disease, or any medical condition that requires special attention, let our team know so we can take the necessary precautions.
Eating & Drinking Before Your Visit
For most routine dental visits, you can eat as you normally would. However, if you are scheduled for sedation dentistry or a major procedure, you may need to fast for a specific period. Our team will provide clear instructions beforehand. If you have low blood sugar concerns, consider having a light meal before your appointment to avoid discomfort.
What to Bring With You
To make your check-in process smooth, please bring:
✔ A valid photo ID
✔ Your insurance card (if applicable)
✔ A list of current medications and medical conditions
✔ Any previous dental records if you are a new patient
Special Considerations for Anxious Patients
If you experience dental anxiety, let us know in advance. We offer comfort-focused care and can discuss sedation options or relaxation techniques to help you feel at ease. Bringing headphones for music or practicing deep breathing exercises before your visit may also help reduce stress.
Aftercare & Post-Appointment Plans
Depending on your treatment, you may need to arrange for someone to drive you home, especially if sedation is involved. If you’re undergoing extractions, implants, or other procedures, we will provide detailed aftercare instructions. Be sure to follow them carefully for a smooth recovery.
