Meet The Doctor
Howard Lufburrow, DDS, FAGD
Principal Dentist
Dr. Howard Lufburrow brings decades of experience and a passion for exceptional dental care to the Central Texas community. A proud resident of Salado, Texas, he shares his life with his high school sweetheart, Debra. Together, they cherish family time with their two children, Blake and Erin, and their seven grandchildren. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Lufburrow enjoys traveling, home projects, and spending time with his pets.
Beyond his commitment to dentistry, Dr. Lufburrow is actively involved in his community and faith. As a member of Salado United Methodist Church, he has participated in mission trips to Belize, providing much-needed dental care to underserved communities. An avid writer, he published his first mystery/suspense novel, Crown Deception, in 2010 and is currently working on its sequel along with other writing projects.
Dr. Lufburrow’s journey in dentistry began with a biology degree from Baylor University in 1977, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 1984. A dedicated lifelong learner, he has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1984 and was honored with a fellowship in 1996. His expertise in dental implants also earned him a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
After moving to Central Texas in 1994, Dr. Lufburrow is thrilled to once again serve patients in Temple, Texas, combining his extensive experience with a commitment to compassionate, top-tier dental care.
